Have to disagree here. It's a casino, while there is no casino edge in poker, its only right they make their cut from any play. 

 

If achievements are bought in for 'play X hands' as an example, rake prevents this being a 'free' achievement for 2 players working together, even if the cost may be minimal.

Don't even know what it is, but you're forgetting that in CE's casino the house never wins (the wheel is profitable, black jack is profitable if you play it correctly, pot o' plata pays out whatever people pay + an extra ticket worth of money)

Anyway, I'm personally against poker because I suck at it, but I don't see that as a good enough reason to dislike the suggestion

Having only public tables would prevent the 2 players gaming the system for achievements. 

If tourneys paid out 90% of the total entry fees that could be how the casino takes money out of the economy, but open tables should be "free", imo.
